The first day of the Pohnpei conference will offer a Mental Health First Aid Training for agencies and professionals who can be a resource for farmers.
Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.
Registration is free, and lunch will be provided. For more information, contact Trisden Elias at (691) 320-5731 or triselia@comfsm.edu.fm or Elvira Gisog at (671) 735-2062 or gisoge@triton.uog.edu.
